| Masonry and mortar function |
BuildDesk U includes a new function to speed up the calculation of the effect of mortar joints in masonry construction in accordance with BRE BR 443:2002. Simply select the brick or block you wish to use and the software will automatically calculate the mortar fraction for you. Additional features also allow you to rotate the block or free input your own block dimensions.

| Condensation Risk Analysis for framed constructions |
BuildDesk U includes a function that allows you to carry out Condensation Risk Analyses on Inhomogeneous (framed) constructions. You can now check both the frame and the unbridged layers for any risk by defining where you would like to run the calculation with just a simple mouse click.

BuildDesk U includes an extensive number of information buttons to help you complete your U-value calculations without having to leave your desk. For example floor U-value calculations require detailed boundary condition information which might otherwise be confusing. The provided info buttons explain the data that is required to be input. The info button information can now also be printed for future reference.
