Required information for SBEM calculation
Once you have filled out the
contact form we will contact you to obtain the following information which is needed to be able to perform the SBEM calculation for you. Please prepare the following information:
- Drawings showing the orientation and geometry of the building, including the activities that take place in each area (e.g. meeting room, kitchen, office etc.)
- Dimensioned drawings with enough information to determine the area of all walls, floors, roofs, ceilings, windows and doors
- U-values of all constructions used in the building, including: external walls, floors, roofs, windows and doors, internal walls/partitions, internal floor/ceilings, etc.
- Details of the heating, domestic hot water, air-conditioning and lighting systems used in the building. We will also need to know which systems are used in which parts of the building. (The mechanical services and lighting installations can be very complicated, so to start with we will ask for a brief description of the systems rather than a full specification document. We will liaise with you to get the extra information we need if it is not apparent from the documents we initially receive from you)
- The air permeability value to be used in the calculation
